Ministries
Education Ministry
Our sisters are dedicated to sharing the Gospel and nurturing the hearts and minds of young people through our teaching ministry. In Catholic schools at both the elementary and secondary levels, we strive to make faith come alive in the classroom while fostering academic excellence. Our mission is to help each child grow as a whole person—spiritually, intellectually, and morally—and to inspire them to become compassionate and responsible citizens of the world. We are especially grateful for the privilege of serving in schools that meet the needs of students from low-income families, offering them hope, opportunity, and a path to a brighter future.

Healing Ministry
Our sisters bear witness to the love and compassion of our Lord through their healing ministry. Serving in hospitals, nursing homes, and hospices, they care for the sick, the elderly, and those nearing the end of life. Beyond providing direct nursing care, they arrange for the celebration of the sacraments, pray with patients and their families, offer counseling, and bring comfort to the suffering through the Word of God. In this ministry, our sisters share in the work of Jesus Christ, who reached out to heal the sick and lift up those in need, bringing hope, dignity, and God’s love to all they serve.

Faith Formation
Our Congregation is dedicated to the Christian formation of all people, with a special focus on women and children. Through faith formation, we guide God’s people to understand the gift of faith received in baptism and to discover the boundless richness of the mystery of salvation. At the heart of our mission is the call to enthrone Jesus in every heart. We fulfill this mission through the proclamation of God’s Word, catechesis, and ministry to families, nurturing lives rooted in faith, hope, and love.

Parish Ministry
In answer to St. Teresa of Avila’s call to be “daughters of the Church,” our sisters actively support the parish ministries of the Syro-Malabar Diocese of Chicago. They lead the catechism program at St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Cathedral, guiding over seven hundred students in the faith. Our sisters also prepare catechumens to receive the sacraments, assist with retreats and Bible camps, train altar servers, visit the sick, and serve as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. Beyond their work at the Cathedral, many sisters extend their pastoral care to local parishes near CMC convents throughout North America, bringing faith, service, and compassion to communities wherever they are called.
